The documentary film “He was Khargo” dedicated to the legendary partisan Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov, a prominent representative of the anti-fascist resistance movement during the Second World War, was screened at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Paris. The screening was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France Leyla Abdullayeva, the former ambassadors of France to Azerbaijan Jean Perrin and Chantal Poiret, the Permanent Representative to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, the screenwriter and director of the exact film, AUF board member Tahir Tahirovich and Mushfiq Jabrayilov, grandson of Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov, French politicians and artists, Azerbaijani diplomats, as well as representatives of the local community and the Azerbaijani diaspora were among audience. “He was Khargo” was produced by “Salnamafilm” studio of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The author Tahir Tahirovich, who took part in the event after the screening of the film, talked about the filming, the fact that each event is based on archival materials, its goals, the idea of its creation within the series of events held under the order in connection with the wide celebration of the 100th anniversary of the legendary partisan Ahmadiyya Jabrailov.
