THE SCREENING OF “GOOD MORNING, MY ANGEL”
“Good Morning, my angel” feature film was screened at “Azerbaijan” Cinema organized by Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of “Azerbaijanfilm”, 80th anniversary of People’s Artist, director Oktay Mir-Gasym, and 60th anniversary of the Union.
Leading role actress Ayan Mir-Gasim, People’s Artists Basti Jafarova, Mammad Safa, Honored Artists Elshan Rustamov, Abbas Gahramanov and special guest People’s Artist, film director Vagif Mustafayev gave a speech at the event. They shared their fond memories about the director and congratulated him.
“Oktay Mir-gasim is one of the pillars of our cinema. As a person who is younger than him, it is always my pleasure to work with this master. It is my honor to work with him from now on too,” People’s Artist, actor Mammad Safa said in his speech.
I was trying to be approved by Mr. Mir-gasim, not myself, in order not to decelerate working process. I felt really proud that he offered me this role,” Abbas Gahramanov stated his opinion.
“Good morning, my angel” tells the life and love of a woman named Madina. After her husband was martyred in Karabakh, she is left to twist in the wind. The mother of a small child also faces the pressure from her colleagues in the theater where she works. But she copes with all the difficulties with merit.
The film was released in 2018. Its director of photography is Rafig Gulyev, art director is Rafig Nasirov.
The moderator of the event was film theorist Sevda Sultanova.
