WHY THERE IS NOT IRANIAN-AZERBAIJANI CO-PRODUCTION FILMS?

People`s writer Rustam İbragimbekov met with the Mr. Ali Purmarjan, the Chairman of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan at AUF.

At the meeting, the head of the Cultural Center Mr. A. Purmarjan expressed concern over the lack of joint films, despite the cultural and historical proximity of Iran and Azerbaijan.

It was noted that both the history and culture of the two countries provide ample material for the co-production films.

During the conversation, the chairman of the Union Rustam Ibrahimbekov did not hide his admiration for the latest achievements of Iranian cinema and emphasized the importance of joint works.

Therewithal,Iranian filmmakers` master classes at the Film School of the Union were also discussed at the bilateral meeting.
