Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers regularly organizes training programs for filmmakers, young screenwriters, and those interested in mastering the depth of this profession. This time, the Union is announcing admissions for the training titled “36 Dramatic Situations.”
The training program, developed by film director and producer Oleg Safaraliyev, will be based on Georges Polti’s renowned theory of the “36 Situations.” Georges Polti analyzed 1,200 dramatic works and classified them into a total of 36 distinct situations.
In each session of the training organized by AUF, three situations will be analyzed and interpreted with examples. Through this well-known theory, participants will explore the details of dramaturgy and work on developing their own synopses.
The course will consist of 12 sessions, held once a week. In addition to classes scheduled after working hours, the trainer will also hold weekday meetings with participants to support the development of their synopses.
Those who wish to apply for the training can submit a synopsis (minimum one page), a motivation letter, and their biography to [email protected] with the subject line “36 Dramatic Situations” by April 15.
