A MEETING WAS HELD WITH RASIM BALAYEV AT THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE

8^th of August was 75^th birth anniversary of People’s Artist Rasim Balayev, a prominent representative of the art of Azerbaijani cinema.

His services in the development of Azerbaijani culture were highly appreciated by the state. Honoring the master with the “Liberty” order is a proof of this attention and care.

On this occasion, a meeting with the artist was held at the Ministry of Culture today. Minister Adil Karimli congratulated Rasim Balayev, wished him good health and new creative achievements, and presented honorary diploma of the ministry to the master.

Highly appreciating the actor’s contributions to the development of Azerbaijani cinema, the minister pointed out that he won the deep love of the audience with his memorable characters in numerous films. It was also underlined that the cinema works that Rasim Balayev played roles constitute the “golden fund” of our national cinema.

Rasim Balayev expressed his thanks for the attention given to his work and said that he will try to contribute to the development of cinema from now onward too.
