The Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers is pleased to announce the open call for applications for the “AKIDocs – Documentary Film Development and Pitching” international project.
Given that the training will be conducted in English, it is essential for at least one team member presenting the project to be proficient in the language. Both the application process and the lessons will be conducted in English. The deadline for submissions is April 17 at 00:00. The winning projects from the pitching session will receive a cash prize to support their further development. The project will take place from April 22 to April 28.
This one-week project is a development workshop designed for filmmakers who have already developed their documentary film project to some extent and possess at least research materials on the topic. Throughout the workshop, intensive sessions will focus on developing synopses and loglines, and participants will be prepared for pitching in English. In addition to the participants, three free listeners will be selected to join the project; however, they will not take part in the pitching session.
