AN EMPLOYEE OF THE UNION, A STUDENT OF FILM SCHOOL UNDER AUF, DIRECTOR ULVIYYA AHMADOVA- A WINNER OF ``TIDINGS FROM THE PAST, ADDRESING TO THE FUTURE`` FILM COMPETITION.

On May 26, closing ceremony of short film competition “Tidings from the past, addressing to the future” on the theme of our national-moral values was held.

The films submitted to the competition are mainly on the theme of “Folk art – the creative heritage of our ancestors”, “High moral- righteous values”, “Love for Motherland”, “The role of traditions and moral values in the formation of national mentality. It was organized by Youth Foundation of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan State Film Fund.

Speaking at the event, Director of Nakhchivan State Film Fund Mirakif Seyidov said that the purpose of the competition is to search for and identify young talents, to arouse interest in amateur authors to professional films, to promote the art of cinema, national-moral values, traditions and as well as universal values of our people.

It should be noted that citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan aged 15-35, as well as foreign students studying in the country were eligible to participate in the competition. According to the rules of the competition, submitted films were to be produced in 2021-2022, not to be screen anywhere and running time up to 20 minutes.

The short films accepted for the competition with the participation of both professional and amateur authors were evaluated by the Jury on a 10 (ten) scored system according to the criteria of “Best Director’s Work”, “Best Cinematographer`s Work” and “Best Screenplay”. While getting the highest scores, the winners of the competition are Ulviyya Ahmedova-“I have been a child” for “Best Director`s Work”, Rahman Allahverdiyev with “Our Homeland” for “Best Cinematographer`s Work”, Banovsha Afatli -“I received a scarf from my mother” for “Best Screenplay”.
