AZERBAIJAN UNION OF FILMMAKERS BECAME A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL CINEMA ORGANIZATION

Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers has become a member of NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema), which mainly unites filmmakers from Asia.

NETPAC now has a wide network of contacts among film festivals, film organisations, government and non-government agencies, film scholars, critics, programmers and festival directors with whom we work collaboratively in mutually beneficial activities to advance the cause of Asian cinema.

Institutional members of NETPAC include Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Hong Kong Arts Center, Jogja Asian Film Festival (Indonesia), Kawakita Memorial Film Institute ( Japan) , Busan International Film Festival, Busan International Short Film Festival, Jeonju International Film Festival, Ulju Mountain Film Festival ( South Korea), Hawaii International Film Festival ( the USA)

NETPAC presents Award for Best Asian Film at 30 major international film festivals throughout the world.

The secretariat of AUF said that membership in NETPAC will support the development of our filmmakers` Asian relations. Hereupon, the secretariat will also continue its efforts on the establishing of international relations for the development of our filmmaking.  It should be noted that the AUF is a member and one of the founders of the Confederation of Filmmakers Unions of CIS countries. People’s writer Rustam IbrahimbeKov has been a chairman of this organization for a long time.
