AZERBAIJAN UNION OF FILMMAKERS CONTINUES ITS SCREENING PROGRAMS

AUF has again started film screenings. The first screening will take place on January 31, at 19:00, at “Azerbaijan” cinema. This time the program includes three directors` documentaries – “Forgotten Dreams” by Aynur Kazimova, “Childhood Photo” by Parviz Hasanov, and “Where is your house?” by Elvin Ashirov. Director and responsible employee of AUF for cinema screenings Ulviyya Ahmadova, said that “this year is the 125th and 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani cinema and AzerbaijanFilm studio respectively.  Therefore, our classic national films` screening program is planned. “World masterpieces in Azerbaijani” program, which we implemented last year, will continue this year too. The program also includes films by world-famous directors such as Aleksey German, Nikita Mikhalkov, Tengiz Abuladze. Stick by the tradition, cooperation with the “Visla” Polish Film Festival is intended in 2023.”

It was mentioned by the secretariat of AUF that regular screenings are one of the Union’s priority goals of promoting national films and forming a high viewership community.
