``CINEMA DAYS IN THE SOUTH`` PROJECT STARTED IN BILASUVAR
As we reported, Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers is going to screen some films commissioned by the state as well as independently produced in recent years under the title of “Cinema Days in the South”.
The goal is to introduce new and successful Azerbaijani films at several international film festivals on wide screens as well as directors to local audiences.
The first screenings within the project took place on June 25-26 in Bilasuvar district. “Pomegranate Orchard” (director Ilgar Najaf), “Tremble” (director Amil Amal), “There’s a letter to you” (director Mazahir Hashimov) and “Bilasuvar” (director Elvin Adigozel), “Dawn” (director Kamal Yashar) films were screened.
In addition to audience, the head of the executive power of Bilasuvar Mr. Faig Gurbatov, as well as directors Mr. Mazahir Hashimov and Mr. Amil Amal took part in the event.
“Cinema Days in the South” project`s screenings will continue in Lerik and Lankaran districts in July.
