Russian Cinema Day was celebrated at the Cinema House

On August 27, 2021, an event dedicated to the Day of Russian Cinema was held at the Cinema House of Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers.

It should be noted that the Day of Russian Cinema is celebrated on August 27, 1919 by the decree on the nationalization of cinema.

The event, organized at the Cinema House, was held jointly with the Russian Information and Cultural Center (Rossotrudnichestvo).

The presenter, young director Vafa Mammadova introduced the secretary of the AUF, the head of the Film School, director Oleg Safaraliyev to the audience.

Footages from films made by Oleg Safaraliyev in Russia (“Live broadcast”, “Savva Morozov”, “Angel on Duty”) were screened at the event.

At the end, the full-length feature film “Cave of Fear” made by the director in 2010 was presented to the audience. The film is about the importance of maintaining

The film stars famous Russian actors Victoria Tolstaganova, Sergei Gorobchenko, Nina Ruslanova and others.

It should be noted members of the Russian İnformation and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Russia to Azerbaijan as well as the head of the Center Irek Khairullin and others have attended in the event.
