“The end of the season” in Germany

Director Elmar Imanov’s full-length feature film “The End of the Season” has been screened in Cologne and is expected to be screened in 15 cities and more than 20 cinemas in Germany too.

Actors Rasim Jafar, Mirmovsum Mirzazadeh and an actress Zulfiyya Gurbanova also attended the presentation of the film in Germany with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan Union of Filmmakers.

Honored Artist Rasim Jafar said: “After screening, the audience shared their opinions on film. This made me both happy and proud as an actor representing Azerbaijani cinema. ”

It should be noted that “The End of the Season” is the first full-length feature film of director. The first presentation of the film was held in February 2019 at the Rotterdam Film Festival. The film participated in the “Bright Future” competition and was awarded the FIPRESCI`s award (International Federation of Film Critics). In June 2019, “The end of the season” was selected to the main competition of the “Zerkalo” International Film Festival, as a result it was awarded two prizes – “For the unique point of view” and “Golos (Voice)” award by young film critics.
