The feature film My Miracle World, directed by Elvin Adigozel, will celebrate its world premiere on April 28 at the XXV goEast International Film Festival. The film is part of the festival’s Official Competition, comprising 14 selected works.
Directed by Elvin Adigozal and based on his original screenplay, and co-produced by “Ultra Production” and “Cinex Production”, the film focuses on childhood friends, Babek and Sahil, who perform in a provincial village ensemble and desire to attend the musical shows they see on television. The path to the television show challenges their bond eternally changes the destiny of the village ensemble.
The film features a remarkable cast including Jahangir Malikov, Kamil Nazim, Kamala Israfilova, Yusif Dadashov, Ramiq Nasirov, Khalig Bakirov, Zulfiyya Nazar Mammadova, Zemfira Abdulsamadova, Ilgar Dadashov, Mahir Mirishli, Iskra Tarrant, Aygul Sadikhova, and others.
In the course of production, My Magical World participated in the “First Cut Lab” and “First Cut Plus” programs of the “When East Meets West” Film Forum, and was honoured with an award from TRT (Turkey).
The film’s producers are Emil Najafov (Ultra Production) and Maria Ibrahimova (Cinex Production), alongside co-producers Olga Matat, Sergey Konnov and Vlad
The goEast Festival will be held in Wiesbaden, Germany, from April 23 to 29. Festival focuses primarily on films from Central and Eastern Europe.
My Miracle Worldis the forth feature film directed by Elvin Adigozel. Prior to this, he had made several acclaimed films like Chameleon, Reporting from the Darkness, and Bilesuvar.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Union of Film-makers (AUF) provided financial support for the participation of the film My Miracle World at the aforementioned international festival.
